My portfolio

This is a mixed media piece I did for my A2 level art work. I did it by using drawings I ha done of drawings and tearing them up before placing them on a large piece of paper. I then used different media’s (such as paint, pastels, chalks and ‘very thick’ crayons) to both finish the drawings I had ripped and to create new ones.

This is a pen and water drawing of a statue in a church. I used line to create the basic shape with my pen before adding water in order to enhance the tone and make it more three dimensional.

This is a biro drawing of a photo of medusa’s head statue in Paris. I like the way I used the line in this to create the features and expressions in the face.

This is an acrylic painting of a dragon. It is copied from another picture, but I found that I painted it well and that it has some depth

This is a mixed media drawing of a bone. I experimented using biro, ink, wax and water colour to create the effect I have.

This is an oil painting of my hand. I like the way I have made this painting look quite real and toned. It is in proportion and is the right skin tone. I worked hard to get the colour of the paint to match my skin.

This is an artist copy of a part of one of Jenny Savil’s paintings. It is of one of the eyes and uses colour to influence the way you look at it. I have tried to recreate this in my own using oil paints.

This is a copy of a picture from a children’s story book. I used biro and watercolour to create this, and like the bright colours that I have used in it. I love the way I have done the mouse’s face, as I have been able to use the brush in a way to create the effect of fur.

This is a page of the story book I did for my exam in AS level. It was created by tea staining paper, then printing onto it with plastic etching and then colouring the print with watercolours. I then wrote the words beside it in black artist pen.

This is a chalk drawing onto black paper I did of a statue in Peterborough cathedral.

This is something that I did out of school and have done many more like it. It has been drawn in pencil before being finalised in a black artist pen and coloured in pencil crayon. I like the way that I have done this and have a deep fascination with the style it was done in.

This is an anime/manga character I have drawn in pencil. It is done in the style of Tite Kubo and shows the expression of an angry or desperate man. I like the way I have done this and have done many more like it in different styles and expressions.
